The Ontario Mason E-Zine: Seven Words That Say It Perfectly Seven Words That Say It Perfectly ================================================================================ Raymond S. J. Daniels on 21 April, 2008 12:25:00 A MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY GRAND MASTER I have just returned from Atlantic City where Brenda and I had the privilege of attending the 221st Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New Jersey as guests of the Grand Master, M.W. Bro. John S. Ryan. Visiting other Grand Jurisdictions is always an instructive and informative experience as well as an opportunity to enjoy the social events with the Officers and Brethren of other Grand Lodges in attendance. On our arrival we were greeted in the hotel lobby by two local Brethren wearing shirts emblazoned with words that immediately caught my attention: FREEMASONRY LOVE IT TALK IT LIVE IT Surely that says it perfectly in seven words. If every Mason in Ontario would take that as personal challenge, the Craft would thrive and progress beyond our highest hopes and all expectations. It is not enough to explain merely WHAT Freemasonry is; each and every one of us must demonstrate WHO Freemasons ARE, and WHAT Freemasons DO. Every man among us is someones definition of a Freemason. It has been said that every man that kneels at the altar of Freemasonry, rises a different man, and once you walk across the mosaic pavement, you play out the game on the great chess-board of life by different rules. Remember, Precepts may lead, but examples draw. Raymond S. J. Daniels
